Nikolas Walsh - Manager Director

Christie Lourens - Divemaster / Skipper



We are proud to have Bobby onboard for the last year as a very experience Dive Master. Being a fully qualified Commercial Diver and Supervisor and Skipper, whom has lived in Gansbaai all his life he has exceptional experience when it comes to the Great Whites, and has had a passionate fascination of them for many years. Bobby is an amazing character and passionate about the environment and the habitat and subsistence of the Great White Shark, he gives our clients and divers a complete overview of the surrounding wildlife, birds and seals and eco environment in which we find this magnificent creature. He is fun to have onboard and our clients adore his vibrant sense of humor

Karin van der Westhuizen

Karin greets you on arrival and takes care of you while you are on land before handing you over to the skipper and the sea crew for the shark cage diving excursion, and on return from sea.

Karin has more than ten years experience in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests and looks forward each day to making these unique experiences a memorable event for each guest.

Anthony Tromp "Trompie"



An experienced South African tour guide. Is the first representative you meet from the White Shark Diving Co if taking our transport. Trompie has various qualifications in the driving and guiding sectors of tourism in South Africa. He is valued team member who continues to tranfer clients between Cape Town metropolitan area and Gansbaai, sticking to a strict time schedule.

Celeste Ockhuys - Bookings



Celeste handles all web bookings and telephone bookings and enquiries. Celeste has been in client relations for over 10 years and has excellent skills when liasing and communicating with our client base.

Phillip - Divemaster / Skipper

Phillip has been a skipper for the last 25 years and involved in the shark cage diving industry for the last 10 years, and has been a very loyal and fastidious skipper for the White Shark Diving Co. He is by far the most experienced skipper in the waters off Kleinbaai, and is often looked upon for advice on the viability of launching due to weather concerns. There is no doubt that to him the safety of his passengers and crew is of the utmost importance.

Madelein Swart - Operations Manageress



Madelein oversees the compliance and all other operational requirements. Madelein has more than nine years experience in the shark cage diving industry in Gansbaai and is familiar with all facets of shark cage diving and close sightings of the Great Whites. Her enjoyment and passion for the environment and her role ensures that every day is a fun day enjoyed by our clients as well as her team.

Lalo Saidy - Videographer



Our in house videographer. Lalo Joined White Shark Diving Co in 2006. His fascination of the Great White is more enthusiastic now than ever before. Lalo has worked with numerous production companies. ( National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Japan Africa productions as well as world famous personal André Haartmen " the original Shark Man" , Charles Maxwell.) Lalo has vast experience in filming day trips for clients . His research for Marine and Coastal Management continues with his dorsal fin identification projects. Lalo is a fluent translator for all our French and Spanish speaking guests. His briefings in the morning prepare each and every client for the reality of the experience which is unique to each day spent with White Shark Diving Co.

X-Man - Industry Trainee



X-man has joined the White Shark Diving Co. as an industry trainee. His particular passion involves becoming a shark handler with the view of becoming a dive master. He is indeed very fortunate to have joined 'The' Team of Mariaan, Phillip, and Coenie, who are all determined to ensure that he develops into and becomes one of the industries finest acquisitions!

Pumeza Hokolo - Bookings



Have been in the shark diving industry for 6 years. She was tempted back after a year's break and joined White Shark Diving Co in 2008. Pumeza manages the website enquiries and day to day telephonic bookings in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
